Lyrical Labs

Lyrical Labs has developed a proprietary encoding approach to modern codecs based on fundamental analysis of objects within the video stream. This unique approach is protected by 2 pending US patents with several others in the pipeline. Lyrical Labs released its first commercial version of its Lyrical Cloud Encoding Service at the beginning of 2012. The cloud service offers fully scalable on demand encoding in the H.264 format. The resulting bitrates of Lyrical Labs encoded files are, on average, 50% smaller than those generated by market leading H.264 encoders for comparable quality. Since mid-2012, Lyrical Labs has also offered its technology as an on-premises appliance. The appliance offers on-demand as well as live encoding. Lyrical Labs has released a beta version of our H.265 encoder as a part of our cloud-service offering. In August of 2012, Cable Labs selected Lyrical Labs for their annual Innovation Showcase.
