Lakes are fascinating ecosystems, and important natural resources for drinking water, fisheries and leisure activities. But they are also extremely sensitive to climate and land-use changes. LéXPLORE is a 10 m by 10 m pontoon equipped with high-tech instrumentation and installed on Lake Leman for 8 years. This novel infrastructure will provides continuous measurements, days and nights for all weather conditions. With this new incredible dataset, we will model the key processes in lakes, in order to assess the impacts from global changes and monitor the general health of Lake Leman.
