The M&EE ATSG was formed following a challenge from Network Rail whether the Industry was working safely and efficiently when Plant was working with Any Line Open. It’s aim is to identify technology that can be used for ALO purposes and help bring to market to make ALO safer and more productive. The objectives include:
Providing a focus on ALO, working collaboratively to prevent duplication of effort and wasting investment. Review technology to see if more efficient and smarter ways of working are possible. To review and where appropriate, challenge the rules and standards with respect to ALO. To promulgate information and understanding of ALO.
