M&M Core began in the back of a pickup truck in 2000. Mike Roberts preached at the Bronson Church of Christ on Sundays and worked to established accounts during the week. His twin brother Mark delivered and set-up durable medical supplies throughout southern Michigan during the workweek and bought and sold automobile cores on the weekends. Both established small warehouses in their home garages and occasionally in the back of Mark’s delivery van. In 2008 Mark, on the advice of another brother, resigned from his job as the marketing/sales agent for the very same medical supply company where he had worked for 14 years. He bought a one-ton stake truck and began working in the core business full time. In 2010 Mark rented a small warehouse, bought another truck and “it was on like Donkey Kong”.
M&M Core grew as a business and after seven years it became necessary to expand. In 2017, Mark bought a 6-acre property which included a 30,000 square-foot warehouse. Since the days of working from the back of that pickup, M&M Core has become a top competitor throughout Michigan as well as northern Ohio, Indiana and even into Kentucky.
