About M3EP

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in European Environmental Economics and Policy (M3EP) aims to educate future environmental economics and policy specialists in conceptual foundations, analytical skills and methods, and integrated problem-solving techniques of economics and political science in order to successfully design, implement and analyze policy solutions to the complex environmental challenges facing European and international societies today. M3EP aims to provide an appealing and highly competitive educational program for students eager to tackle environmental challenges from local to global scales, using an interdisciplinary skill set integrating environmental economics, political science and public policy. Why study the M3EP programme? You will acquire a firm disciplinary and interdisciplinary footing in both environmental economics, political science and public policy. a strong applied focus on environmental challenges, enabling you to take on one of the most complex and demanding policy areas for EU, its member states, and the rest of the world in the 21st century: the green transition. Programme Structure The 1st year of study will take place at the University of Copenhagen – providing students a set of core competences in both environmental economics, policy, and politics, and with a solid understanding of the European policy context. For the 2nd year, students complete their studies at one of the four other partner universities: Heidelberg University, University of Milan, Charles University or University of Warsaw, each offering a unique perspective and specialization in environmental economics or environmental policy and politics.
