The Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) is a professional association for finance and operations professionals employed by public education institutions in Massachusetts. Established in 1957, MASBO is a proud affiliate of the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). Our members hail from municipal, regional, vocational / technical / agricultural, charter, and virtual schools and special education collaboratives across the Commonwealth.
MASBO members are vital participants on the districts’ leadership teams and hold themselves to the highest ethical and performance standards to focus resources on student achievement. They manage a wide variety of non-teaching and learning responsibilities, including budgeting, finance, accounting, and cash management; procurement; building planning, construction, maintenance, and operation; food and nutrition management; transportation services; personnel administration and collective bargaining; grant applications and reporting; risk management; technology and IT; and more.
