The art of malting is as old as civilization, but in modern times it has been streamlined for mass production. Craft breweries and distilleries are forced to choose between a handful of large maltings in the United States, or importing their malt from Europe. Here at Macon Creek, our mission is to help bring malting back to Michigan, giving local farmers the opportunity to be a part of the craft industries, and providing brewers and distillers with handcrafted, home grown malt.
