Mad About Scares developed from our retail business, Mad About Horror Ltd., that for over a decade has provided horror fans in the UK and around the world a place where they can find all their Halloween goods, animated props and horror collectibles in one place. As the scare industry developed within the UK and Europe, we identified a growing demand for professional quality masks and props. Mad About Scares Ltd. was launched to provide dedicated service for professional users. Regular overseas trips to visit trade shows, horror conventions and prop manufacturers has given us access to all the latest horror trends and some truly gruesome masks, lifesize bodies, props and animatronics from the best suppliers and artists in the USA and UK. Partnering with the engineering and creative team at Aardvark FX has allowed Mad About Scares Ltd to expand its offering even further to include a full design and build service for bespoke props, scenes and special effects. We are regular exhibitor and sponsor of Europe’s only dedicated scare industry show, ScareCON.
