Mechatronics and Advanced Design in Robotics (CAR)

MAD-Robotics Research Group (Mechatronics and Advanced Design in Robotics) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) is a multidisciplinary team specializing in advanced robotics. Our research lines include: Modular robots; Underwater and ground robots; Industrial robots; Embedded systems; Medical robots; and Social robots. The group is based at the School of Engineering and Industrial Design (ETSIDI-UPM) and belongs to the Center for Automation and Robotics (CAR), which is a Joint Center for Shared Ownership between the UPM and CSIC.
