Madanilla imports 100% natural Bourbon vanilla beans directly from Madagascar growers and curers, and supplies it to Food distributors, wholesalers, fine food restaurants, retailers and vanilla enthusiast consumers. With over 80% of the world's total vanilla produced in Madagascar, thousands of farmers, curers, workers rely on the second most expensive spice in the world after saffron as their sole source of income. The lack of funding by the Madagascar workers forces them to sell the vanilla at low prices to exporters and middlemen bringing it to the food, cosmetic and fragrance industries in first-world countries where the demand for natural flavours is high. Madanilla aims at fighting Madagascar poverty by increasing the vanilla workers income to 2x to 3x whilst raising quality of the beans supplied to customers. Our goal is to build a direct connection between Madagascar growers and the first-world countries to provide predictable and sustainable funding to Madagascar which will prevent quality drops due to 'quick-curing' practices and premature harvesting.
