Our love for wood was born more than 65 years ago and over time it has evolved in an unexpected and natural way, as it happens with the great loves of life.
It all began when Rafael Barber in 1957, before going to Germany to study the language, went to Madrid to visit his aunt. She gave shelter to a very old man who made guitars; that man asked Rafael if he could bring him some tapas from Germany, which were impossible to find here in Spain.
These few tops that Rafael brought awakened the interest of many guitar makers who began to ask him for more and more wood.
The demand for more exotic wood was growing as we were able to travel around the world in search of the best woods, of great beauty and exceptional sound. A simple chance led us, growing day by day, until today we have the largest quantity and variety of wood for musical instruments in the world.
