MADOOBE. is a social fashion lable striving for more engagement. Madoobe means black, a literal translation. But in Somalia Madoobe isn’t just a word or a colour, it’s a name. This name is carried by the leader of a family or community where the responsibility will be held to guide and care for them. The creator behind Madoobe, Hussein Musse, was called Madoobe’s son because his father was Madoobe. It’s philosophie and heritage were therefore the inspiration of the brand. Madoobe became reality when our dear friend Yateesha started to visualize our name in 2017, which now is our beloved logo! The logo was the starting point of translating Madoobe into a clothing line. With loads of trial and errors, the first collection was produced in 2019. We are still so grateful to have so many positive responses and support! Although having a clothing line was a dream coming true, we knew there was something missing. We want to empower others to be extraordinary in their lives! Our ambition with madoobe is not to be known only for our clothing but also as a community or movement where we contribute and share as much as we can. We are happy to share our process and love for the people.
