About Mfantsipim-Adisadel Fun Day Games
Mfantsipim School and Adisadel College are the two oldest Boys schools in the history of secondary education in Ghana. Mfantsipim was founded by the Methodist Missionary Mission in 1876, and in 1910, the Anglican Church started Adisadel College, all in Cape Coast. The products of the two schools since their establishment have excelled in various fields of endeavor and have collectively contributed immensely to the development of Ghana and indeed the world. In 1992, Mr. Robert Mills (MOBA 78) conceived the idea of bringing the old boys of the schools together on a friendly and social platform, using sports as a tool to foster closer collaboration between them and raise funds for the development of the schools. The format for the games was to be a football tournament involving decade teams, with the climax being a football match between the present-day school teams.
