*the fairy concept comes from the perception of a mom being the ‘good, supportive, always there’ fairy from every child’s life storybook.
I have created this community for the mums who want to have a beautiful and fulfilling journey for the weaning breastfeeding transition. This is a place where nobody will judge you because you want to stop breastfeeding, no matter when or why, you as a mother, decide to do this.The idea behind creating this group came to me from my own weaning breastfeeding journey. At that time I was a lactation consultant and I knew for a fact that the information available to mothers about weaning breastfeeding was, at best, insufficient. I read and found a lot of valuable information when there was nobody to help me or share with me how to go through this process in a gentle way that might help both me and my child. I have breastfed 2 years and I learnt how to stop breastfeeding by myself, naturally, calmly, gently, working with my emotions and understanding the changes I and my child will pass through together as this is a process in which both the mother and the child are deeply involved.
In this community of moms the focus is on helping and supporting each other and also sharing valuable information about weaning breastfeeding. Also, I am posting useful content and videos and live Q&A sessions. Here you will find support for weaning breastfeeding, when you decide to do that no matter what the reason is, as we consider the reason to be fair and with no restraints as long as the transition is made with love, understanding and respect for both parties. We do not encourage CIO (cry it out), leaving from home or grandparents’ involvement, cold turkey, etc.
Weaning is a transition for you as a parent and for your child. It is change, and change happens all the time, no matter what. You can choose to make it a beautiful moment and a cherished memory.
