MagicFood is an interactive hardware device for children designed to foster lasting healthy eating habits by incorporating well-established psychological principles.
It was developed to address the serious and ongoing issue of diets deficient in health-promoting foods like fruits and vegetables, which are often replaced by foods high in sugar and fat. These poor eating habits, unfortunately widespread in today's society, can lead to serious health problems not only in adulthood but also during childhood (for example, obesity affects about one in three children in Italy).
To face this problem, we created MagicFood, an interactive device aimed at children aged 4 to 9, with the objective of cultivating healthy habits early on that persist into adulthood. This initiative helps prevent health issues, promotes animal welfare, and supports environmental protection.
Additionally, the project contributes to environmental sustainability by encouraging healthier eating habits in younger generations and their families, promoting a conscious, plant-based diet that reduces environmental impact and fosters a more sustainable food system.
