Magmaweld is a manufacturer of Stick Electrodes, MIG/MAG & TIG Wires, Flux Cored Wires, Submerged-Arc Wires and Fluxes, Welding Machines, Welding Ancillary Products and Automation Systems in Turkey. Oerlikon Kaynak Elektrodları ve Sanayi A.Ş. was founded in 1957 in order to manufacture stick electrodes as a licensee of Oerlikon-Buehrle AG. In the year 1996, in order to reduce costs, to strengthen the leading position in Turkey and turn Magmaweld into a global brand, two old factories in Istanbul were moved to new, state of the art factory in Manisa, situated in the west of Turkey. In 2010 the second factory has been opened also in Manisa to produce high-tech welding equipment as well as to integrate robotic automation systems. The MAGMAWELD brand came out as an analogy between the molten core of the earth, the MAGMA and the WELDPOOL.
