Magnet Launch, LLC is a startup founded by Cian Cavooris, a space systems engineer with experience working for Northrop Grumman and UTC Aerospace Systems (now Collins Aerospace). Our core mission is to dramatically reduce the cost and the carbon footprint of launching space vehicles. To achieve that mission, we're building a highly-reusable launch assist system to electrically propel and magnetically levitate space payloads. These technology concepts are not new: elements of these systems were proposed as early as the mid-1800s and early 1900s. However, reductions in cost of key components, along with renewed public interest in space technology and concern over climate change make this the ideal time to build such a system.
Magnet Launch is happy to partner with traditional space contractors and new space companies alike to provide lower costs than any competitor could achieve alone.
