Mahatma Inc. is a Public Benefit Corporation (B-Corp) setup in United States with a primary objective of spreading value, teachings and principles of Mahatma Gandhi all across the world through publishing, events, workshops, seminars, news, e-learning and products. The founding premise of Mahatma Inc. is to reform and inspire. Meaning of Mahatma Mahatma is an adaptation of the Sanskrit word mahātman, which literally means "great-souled or saint." As a general, uncapitalized English noun, "mahatma" can refer to any great person, it is used as a title of love and respect for the people, who are doing good. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is called “Mahatma Gandhi” for his teachings and principles for non-violence, civil rights, selfless service, truth, and simple living across the world. Noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore is said to have used this title for Gandhi ji on 6 March 1915.
