We are a Kaupapa Maori mental health and addictions provider who is committed to helping individuals and whanau achieve wellness through the delivery of Integrated Tikanga Māori services. Our Commitment is to improve the well-being of people through the mana enhancing practice of Wairuatanga, Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Rangatiratanga, Matauranga, Mahi Ngatahi and Te Ahi Kaa Roa. As a Kaupapa Maori Provider we acknowledge the beginning and end of all things and the intimate connections to our environment. We believe in nurturing wellness. These are relationships between Tangata Whaiora (consumers), Tauira (students), Kaimahi (workers), Whanau (family), Kawanatanga (Government), Hauora (health), Matauranga (Education), and Tauwhiro Hapori (Social Services) and Hapori whanui (community) Weaving a kete of Tikanga oriented service provision for people requiring support to achieve wellness Our mission expresses the central purpose of Mahitahi Trust which is to assist people in their desire to regain wellness through an integrated set of services (for example, health, social, education, employment, housing) based on ngā Tikanga Māori (Māori cultural beliefs and practices).
