We want to encourage development projects that will create stability so that Mahra will be safe from harmful influences like extremism, smuggling, organised crime and militias. We strive for a secure civil society with a shared sense of purpose. We are staffed largely by volunteers. (In particular, our non-Yemeni "employees" are not paid and cover their own expenses.)
Our hope is that, through sustainable development, the Mahra region will have access to basic amenities like water, electricity and healthcare.
Above all, we care about encouraging young women and young men to learn, think and work towards a better future.
