Maina Devi Foundation

Maina Devi Foundation is a non-profit, non-government social organization committed to improving environmental sustainability from the grass-root level through participation and empowerment. It was established in the far-western part of Nepal at Lamkichuha Municipality-3, Kailali in the year 2074 BS, and was registered in 2077 under the Organization Registration Act, 2034, Section 4. From its humble beginnings, Maina Devi Foundation has grown into a vibrant organization working with a range of people across multiple sectors with more than one lakh volunteers. Maina Devi Foundation implements programs and campaigns in various sectors, specifically in the environmental sector, prominently in urban areas, and social works catering to the needs of vulnerable communities, prominently in rural areas. The organization believes that there is no simple and single solution to reduce/eradicate environmental issues. As such, in order to overcome issues related to the environment, it is necessary to address the range of issues from the grass-root level with a collective effort. Tackling issues in an integrated, sustainable manner, Maina Devi Foundation aims at improving the current condition of the environment and improving lives.
