Maine Shellfish Developers is developing technology for growing Maine oysters using sustainable and ecologically sound farming practices in contained shore-side facilities. Our model can produce seedling and market size oysters year-round and insulated from major weather and environmental risks. We are located at the Waldoboro Marine Park in Waldoboro Maine. We are combining recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology with proprietary feed formula to grow oyster seedlings and mature oysters year-round. The result is a delicious, low cost, sustainable oyster, prized by oyster connoisseurs. This breakthrough technology allows oysters and other shellfish to be grown indoors and away from environmental risks and concerns. We will be able produce high quality, sustainable, premium seafood protein insulated from climate change and other environmental issues.
