Our Value Proposition Mainframe Modernization Mainframe software is typically expensive, requires extensive testing prior to installation and is permanently installed on the mainframe utilizing valuable mainframe resources. Many of these same applications often requires the user to commit mainframe commands & instructions to memory. This and the ‘green screen’ interface currently prevalent in mainframe are considered major obstacles preventing the next generation of IT professionals from embarking upon careers in mainframe. Business Analytics Mainframe data is typically extracted, transformed and loaded onto an alternate platform before analysis and interpretation can take place. Depending upon the organisation and their infrastructure this process can take days and requires extensive middleware and network bandwidth. The Mainframe Cloud solution significantly reduces data latency and provides for real-time analytics with mainframe application data, something often seen as impossible or too expensive. Application Development Because the Mainframe Cloud Platform (MfCP) allows applications to run ‘off host’ it significantly increases the speed and agility by which new applications can be developed. It also means that these applications can be developed in a range of modern web languages as opposed to the more traditional mainframe languages such as COBOL, REXX and Assembler.
