Mainstreet SA

Mainstreet SA is South Australia’s only organisation dedicated to professional development, celebration and network-building of mainstreet makers. A membership-based not-for-profit, Mainstreet SA delivers a range of events and activities to build relationships, activate education and celebrate leadership in mainstreet creation. Our Vision is that every South Australian community has a thriving mainstreet. To achieve this we work with governments, Councils, the planning sector and community groups to support the economic, social and placemaking objectives of mainstreets, precincts and town centres. The voluntary Committee of Mainstreet SA comprises expertise in design, retail, planning, and placemaking. Together we deliver an annual calendar of inspiration to foster successful mainstreets across the state. Mainstreet SA was formed in 2011 following the impetus of the 8th National Mainstreet Conference being awarded to Adelaide. Mainstreet SA is a branch of Mainstreet Australia.
