Maison Masarin is born from a passion for raw materials and their unique shades of colors passed down from generation to generation.
Our universe draws its inspiration from our family house that has always been strongly influenced by Mediterranean vibes, while equally organized to meet our modern daily lives. Thus, we imagine timeless but lively living spaces as we envision and create our collection, shaped around linens, everyday clothes, and through interior decoration elements.
Each of our products is made from raw materials, often diverted from their primary use.
Our ambition is to revive these items to give them a role in our everyday lives.
The history of Maison Masarin started with Michèle Masarin, who created Comptoir des Teintures in 2012.
Keen about linen and colors, she gathered, over time, a flea-market collection made from hemp, linen, cotton, or even métis that she transforms and dyes with her own recipe of color mixture giving them a role for a second life. She took part in the very early stage of the upcycling movement, which has become a priority in regards of the environment.
10 years later, Maison Masarin is created, adding a dimension turned towards the lifestyle, keeping this serenity and sweetness of life captured during trips across the Mediterranean Sea, as a prominent framework.
Between a typical house from the Cyclades, a Dammuso from the southern of Italy, a Finca overlooking Es Vedrà or even a Moroccan Kasbah, the atmosphere could feel completely different. And yet, it remains obvious to perceive a common thread starting with a design coming out of a natural simplicity, some sort of welcoming bareness. As if the indoor areas were melting peacefully into the outer landscapes.
A whole philosophy of life, genuinely at the hearth of Maison Masarin.
Therefore, it became essential to integrate to the initial household linen driven catalog, a collection dedicated for everyday clothes, combining comfort and elegance.
