Majakan Valo Foundation, a new member of the European Lighthouse Family, which provides individual pedagogical measures in the field of child and youth welfare, focuses on placing troubled youth with foster families under professional supervision. We have also new Finnish training for foster parents called Steady Course. It has been developed to serve Finnish child protection and successfully implemented in Finnish foster care field. The foundation started activities in Finland 2015 and it is independent Finnish foundation. Head office is located in Turku and it has activities in Southern and Western Finland. We have wide European network working together and sharing best practices and ideas. Our network has activities in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Estonia and Lithuania.
