Make-A-Wish Indonesia was established in 2024 as an affiliate of the world's largest wish-granting organization, Make-A-Wish International. Make-A-Wish traces its inspiration to Chris Greicius, an energetic 7-year-old boy battling leukemia, whose wish to become a police officer was granted by his community in 1980. Little did Chris know that his wish would ignite a global movement that has since transformed millions of lives.
Today, Make-A-Wish International has granted hundreds of thousands of life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses in 50 countries and territories across six continents through its 40 affiliates.
As the only wish-granting organization of its kind in Indonesia, Make-A-Wish Indonesia is dedicated to making a profound impact on the wider community by fulfilling the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Our founders are committed to "sharing the power of a wish," believing that these wishes bring families hope in dark times, the strength to persevere, and experiences that forever change their lives.
