About Makerere University Biomedical Engineering Unit

The Makerere University Biomedical Engineering (MakBME) Unit is a dynamic interdisciplinary program bridging the realms of biomedical sciences and engineering. Established in 2011, MakBME operates under the Department of Physiology at the School of Biomedical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, and is secondarily housed in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering, Design, Art, and Technology (CEDAT). Our mission is to drive innovation, research, and training to solve critical healthcare challenges, producing a new generation of technology-driven healthcare revolutionists.
