MaKros

Makros designs compact archival systems for the protection of artistic and cultural heritage - including artworks, ancient books, and paper documents - from fire, water, bacteria, and deterioration, utilizing technology and computer science. Makros invests in research and development and has established a Technical-Scientific Committee (composed of biologists, mathematicians, and computer scientists) to continuously guide its growth. Makros is globally recognized for its Blockfire patent, providing fire protection, and was included in the 2023 edition of the "100 Italian Cultural Spaces Stories" report by Fondazione Symbola and Fossa Bortolo, highlighting Italian excellence. Currently, Makros holds 7 patents, combinable with each other, nationalized in 15 European countries as well as in China, the United States, and Canada.
