Malama's solutions are cost competitive and compete with PIR, PUR and phenolic foams and are manufactured with bio-based or recycled resources. AinaCore® SI is a 2lb. density, closed cell PIR foam with the highest fire rating and insulation value in its class. It achieves these with 18% recycled content using a polyol derived from PET, and without the use of the toxic brominated or chlorinated fire retardants. AinaCore® has an industry-leading insulation value of R7 per inch. The product is Class A fire rated according to ASTM E-84 test protocols and has a flame spread/smoke development rating of 25/50. Our ACASA Advanced Composites + Steel Architecture building envelope is engineered to withstand climate change - the system is ideal for humid regions and areas vulnerable to major storms or fires and severe hot or cold climates. Pacific BioFoam™ is the first 2lb. density, castor based, pour foam that is non-toxic and uses water as its sole blowing agent. ASTM and insulated shipping container testing has proven that the product has competitive moisture and chemical resistance and impact strength, making it ideal for insulated packaging, consumer appliances, and automotive applications, moldings, casting and formwork. Studio BioFoam® is an ideal carving medium for artists, students and hobbyists. Consistent density and cell structure enable beautiful shaping characteristics for hand sculpting, or doing three dimensional shaping on CNC machines. It's castor-based and water blown and that means it is formaldehyde-free and generates zero VOCs during fabrication or after installation. It's an ideal sculpting medium for theatre sets, museum exhibits, TV shows, theme parks, trade show exhibits, retail environments, shaping orthotics and prosthetics and as 3D signage.
