Malawi Water Project

The Malawi Water Project is a not for profit organization with the purpose of improving the health conditions of villagers in rural Malawi, Africa. Malawi is a small landlocked country in eastern sub-Saharan Africa. It is a developing country and most villagers live on approximately $1USD per day. The life expectancy is about 54 years of age. The goal of the Malawi Water Project is to improve health and alleviate suffering due to water borne illnesses by providing clean, safe drinking water to families especially children under the age of five. Our goal is to improve health in rural Malawi by training the local people in small villages on proper sanitation and hygiene and help villagers construct biosand water filters, which will provide them with clean water.
