Nestled into the landscape and screened with existing woodlands and hedgerows, Maldon Fields Crematorium provides a private, secluded spot for families to hold the dignified service of their choice. Maldon Fields Crematorium is conveniently located just off the Maldon Road at Woodham Mortimer, opposite St Margaret’s Church. It sits nestled behind a copse, with long views across the countryside and over to the waters of Maldon, making it a tranquil, natural spot, offering a place of peace and seclusion, so important for a funeral. The gardens and grounds have been designed to resemble a mature parkland. Wide lawns, framed with trees, hedging and beds of flowers and plants join wild flower meadows reaching out to the existing woodlands. Our building itself subtly matches the local character through the use of rustic red brick, timber boarding and a plain tile roof. Built in the local tradition to match the historic buildings opposite and blend into the beautiful surrounding countryside.
