Mallow Wellness Initiative

Mallow Wellness Initiative is a not-for-profit NGO based in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, established with the vision of seeing Nigerians, irrespective of barriers, live a healthy, fulfilling and productive lives. We are committed to impacting Nigerians through health and helping individuals and organizations to do the same by providing the necessary expertise in organizing tailored health services that helps improve the overall health indices of Nigerians. This initiative is aimed at essentially providing primary and secondary preventive health services to Nigerians with a special focus on the poor and the middle class through health promotion, health screening and medical outreaches, research and advocacy. With 46.5% of its 201 million inhabitants living in extreme poverty, there exists a ready population of Nigerians that are in dire need of these services. A change in mindset and consequent rejiging of priorities of Nigerians at home and in diaspora leading to increased commitment of resources to health will change the narrative. To meet the growing health needs, we seek to work with a broad client-base including but not limited to individuals, philanthropies, religious bodies, corporate entities, NGOs and government institutions. MWI is founded by a trio of medics, Damilola AYOWOLE, Toluwani OLUWATOLA and Oluwapelumi OLOWOOKERE with outstanding track records of using their medical expertise as a tool in volunteering and other civic engagements. The initiative is supported by volunteers from various disciplines and guided by a team of advisors, who are accomplished professionals with decades of experience in public health. Succinctly put, MWI is an initiative devoted to reversing the damning morbidity and mortality rates of Nigeria by helping citizens meet the health needs of disadvantaged Nigerians without having to break the bank.
