The Mammoth Lakes Foundation and our supporters believe that availability of higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra enhances the quality of life enjoyed by residents, second homeowners, and visitors by balancing the recreational attractions in the community with cultural and educational opportunities. Higher education and the arts promote leadership, stimulate growth, and build a stronger year-round economy and community.
Since its inception, Mammoth Lakes Foundation successfully brought a community college to Mammoth Lakes, has awarded over 750 scholarships to local students, and built student housing. Mammoth Lakes Foundation is dedicated to fulfilling Dave and Roma McCoy’s vision of creating and supporting higher education and cultural enrichment in Mammoth Lakes. Because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, the Mammoth Lakes Foundation is able to continue the "Dave's Scholars" program providing full-tuition scholarships, book stipends, and support and mentoring through the Foundation to local students.
