Anybody at all can host a public server for the popular online game, Minecraft. Servers are easy to mod, and thanks to the creative enthusiasm of the Minecraft community, tens of thousands of active servers exist today. Some of them have become so popular that they are run as viable - and in some cases, shockingly profitable - businesses. Once a server gets big enough, its creators will inevitably see the need for customized tooling to support their creative content and manage their community. Such projects, analogous to CRM in the professional world, are costly but extremely helpful for maintaining a strong public reputation. ManageMC is the first known attempt at generalizing this software and offering it as a service. Content creators now have the option of outsourcing expensive and time-consuming projects so that their developers can focus on revenue-generating tasks.
