Dispute Resolution covers everything from-
a) Pre-dispute i.e. negotiation and drafting of agreements/contracts/deeds with comprehensive clauses safeguarding the rights of the parties, whilst binding them in obligations for the ultimate purpose of the arrangement between them.
b) Initiating resolution of issues that might have cropped up owing to actions/inactions of the parties involved. The firm strives to provide a holistic legal advice considering all applicable laws whether civil, criminal or some other by-laws or internal regulations. This also includes formulating steps to bypass the tardy judicial processes by opting for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures inluding arbitration, conciliation, or in some matters of mutual benefit- mediation.
c) Responding to legal measures taken against the seeking client, where the brief is to analyse the contentions levelled by the opposite party and to pit them against the situation and version instructed to us by the client. Only after doing this comparative study, while taking care of procedural and formal provisions of time limits and other legal processes, a roadmap of the next steps can be advised.
Socio-Legal Projects department - 'Law as an instrument of Social Change'
a) Research: Our team of legal researchers are motivated to bring positive socio-political change. They undertake extensive legal research and also conduct case studies by surveys and RTIs- to reach to the core of any issue. Such research is then analysed to derive suggested solutions and to engage experts for a meaningful redressal.
b) Publication: The firm aims to regularly produce literature and reach out to audiences not only from the academic industry but also from the legal and non-legal ones.
c) Legal Aid: The firm shall engage with the underprivileged communities and organise legal literacy camps and legal aid clinics as pro-bono.
