Mangalaya is a small startup based in Japan, founded by Mr. Norimasa Yokoyama and Ms. Sumita Bhattacharjee. In recent years, Japanese Manga comics have become popular among Indian readers. However, they are only available in English for the Indian market. Mangalaya's motive is to distribute Manga translated in Hindi. The Hindi language has over 600 million speakers in total as of 2021. Mangalaya's comics will be distributed digitally via its own App as well as on YouTube.
