Eine Supercomputing-Plattform für hochautomatisierte Fahrzeuge ist das Ziel des Projektes CeCaS. Damit sollen komplexe Berechnungen und große Datenmengen im Auto bewältigt werden. Das Projekt erforscht neue Wege in der Mikroelektronik, Rechen- und Softwarearchitektur, um flexibel und effizient zu sein.

Die Anforderungen an die Vernetzung im Auto und mit anderen Autos steigt stetig, somit auch das Bedürfnis an ein leistungsfähiges Rechenzentrum.
Das CeCaS Konsortium bringt wichtige deutsche Partner zur Erforschung von zentralen Supercomputing Plattformen in Autos zusammen.
Mit FinFET Technologie wird CeCaS eine Supercomputing Plattform für Autos entwickeln, die einen Innovationssprung darstellt.
