Manning Rail

Manning Rail is a family-owned and operated shortline railroad. We operate on a stretch of track between Burress and Fairmont, Nebraska, with a direct connection to the BNSF mainline in Fairmont. Our line provides a safe, reliable, and cost-effective railcar storage solution. We’ve completed extensive upgrades to the line — including the replacement of over 15,000 railroad ties to date. An expansion project is currently underway to develop shuttle train loading capabilities, allowing for the efficient movement of high-volume grain shipments directly by rail. This will significantly enhance market access for local producers and streamline outbound logistics.
