Manolos Aviation is a nationally owned company based out of Lae, Papua New Guinea. Manolos Aviation owns and operates the largest variety of twin engine helicopters in Papua New Guinea. Our Fleet consist of BK117, BO105, Bell 222, Bell 430 and Sikorsky S76A+ helicopters. Manolos Aviation offers commercial charter and light to medium lift helicopter services, including operating the largest Medical Evacuation services within Papua New Guinea. Manolos Aviation t/a as Niugini Heliworks owns and operates a fully certified Part 145 Approved Helicopter Maintenance Facility in Tokua, East New Britain. Manolos did applied for a Part 141 Training Facility also in Tokua, in order to establish a flight school for interested young Papua New Guineans. However, CASA PNG allowed the certificate to lapse, until 2021 when Manolos decided not to renew the application, other options for flight school will follow soon. Our dynamic team is lead by Captain Jurgen Ruh, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Pilot. His vast experience in flying in some of the most rugged terrains in PNG coupled with his extensive knowledge of PNG's unpredictable weather patterns and adherence to communicative and cultural diversity makes him the most knowledgeable individual in the industry.
