MANTA Marine Propulsion Systems LLC is a Dana Point, CA company that aims to replace current boat/ship propellers with a fully scalable, high-Energy Efficiency bio-mimetic system designed to achieve Extreme High Energy Efficiencies of up to, and in excess of, 80% in open Ocean conditions. The technology is backed by many published Scientific Papers and related experimental data in controlled conditions. The purpose & Scope of the MANTA MPS drive is to combine several scientifically-demonstrated techniques into a practical biomimetic device of comparable Energy Efficiency levels in real-life Ocean conditions, capable of retrofitting and scaling-up, from small pleasure crafts up to Ocean-crossing super-container carrier size vessels. Note that it would also create and promote a brand-new set of marine vessel designs where the MANTA MPS drive would be integrated WITHIN the vessels’ hull, with the capability of accessing ALL the drive components at sea or at dock-side without need for dry-docking.
