Manufacturing-X

Industrie 4.0 urgently needs a shared, open data ecosystem where everyone involved in the value chain can expect security, sovereignty and interoperability when sharing their product and manufacturing data. Only this type of data ecosystem will facilitate future enhancements in efficiency and flexibility, enabling optimal sustainable production. It will also make supply chains more resilient and strengthen competitive advantages. The name of this data ecosystem is: Manufacturing-X. This channel bundles relevant Manufacturing-X content from the Manufacturing-X Initiative as well as International Manufacturing-X environment and especially from the strong project landscape. Some of these projects are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of an accompanying funding scheme. The aim of this official Manufacturing-X channel is to make new developments visible, to network stakeholders, and to promote open exchange. With a clear focus on visibility, knowledge transfer, and strengthening the community, this channel helps to establish Manufacturing-X as a central building block for industrial transformation. The channel is operated by VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH, which is actively supporting the development and implementation of the initiative on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
