On the Mapesu Private Game Reserve are two distinct accommodation options that allows guest to customise and suit their desired styles and pricing as well as offering a conference centre and conservation expeditions for a real life adventure in the complex world of conservation.
The Mopane Bush Lodge is a 4-star luxury game lodge set in the heart of the mopane bushveld. The 19 secluded and well appointed thatched chalets are situated each in their own kraal with extra-large ensuite bathroom, A/C, exclusive verandah and additional outdoor shower or tub. The Lodge offers the Wellness Spa, restaurant, pool, bar, outdoor and indoor gourmet dining, and various activities such as conservation expeditions, birding, game drives, and more.
Mapesu Wilderness Camp offers glamping, camping, restaurant/bar, pool and conference centre. The tented camp are large Serengeti tents with A/C, cabinets, 180º private views, and outdoor bath with large shower and tub. The campsite is perfect for those that want to drive and park or pitch their tent or even rent tents. Close to a natural watering hole and a few hundred meters to the pool, restaurant and bar, its an ideal location to be in the heart of the wilderness. Conferences can be organized for up to 160 people upon requests. Game drives, sundowners, and local tours are also available.
Mapesu Private Game Reserve is a great stopover between the Tuli Block in Botswana and South Africa, as well as between the Northern Kruger National Park and the Tzaneen area. It is also an ideal base for Heritage and Wildlife tours around the Limpopo Province as well as the interpretation tours to ancient San rock art sites.
