The Marketing Association of Pakistan is a premier body representing marketing practitioners and professionals in the country. Founded in 1967, this association has made a significant contribution towards promoting the understanding of the discipline, encouraged new entrants in the field and constantly supported those who either sought or found their career in marketing. MAP has an office at Karachi as well as chapters at Lahore and Islamabad.
Lahore chapter was established in 1987. Since then it has served as a focal point of activities for the marketing executives in Lahore and around. By virtue of holding very successful marketing congresses over the years. Lahore chapter came of age and clearly demonstrated its ability to take on more serious projects in the future. MARCON - International Marketing Congress created new benchmarks in terms of participation of delegates, speakers' profile and other arrangements. It became the biggest marketing congresses in Pakistan by any standard.
Throughout the year, the Association keeps its members engaged through a series of tea meetings, seminars, training workshops, and the annual dinners.
Looking ahead in future, though ambitious, Lahore Chapter is seriously contemplating to establish an Institute of Sales & Marketing. The need is strongly felt to have an institute of excellence purely dedicated to promoting marketing as a discipline.
