Mapping Festival is organized by PPING, a Geneva-based non-profit cultural association with 35 members in 2022, including many artists active in the field. Its goal is to promote the audiovisual, technological and transdisciplinary arts on the French-speaking part of Switzerland and to make them known internationally. PPING organizes several events per year, collaborating with numerous cultural partners, associations and institutions. It created the Mapping Festival in 2005, which takes place in May every year and presents exhibitions, installations, performances as well as conferences and workshops. It regularly invites artists from all over the world to present their work in Geneva and to lead workshops.
