In 1975, founder Bruce Marchant started Marchant’s School Sport as a wholesaler of sporting apparel with only one employee. Today, with over 50 employees and over 32,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space, Marchant’s has expanded their business lines to include, school uniforms, corporate wear, screen printing, and embroidery for schools, sports leagues and corporate clients. Additionally, they distribute physical education equipment from baseball gloves and basketball nets to scoreboards and megaphones. All products are sold both through a group of sales representatives in Manitoba and Ontario and a catalogue sales business that extends their coverage into the Maritime Provinces and the Northwest Territories. Marchant’s has a wide network of quality suppliers such as Adidas, Under Amour, Wilson, Stormtech, Alleson, Spieth Anderson, Laurentian, Kobe, NeuEdge, Baden, 360 Athletics, Xenith, and Champion to name a few. All of these suppliers provide innovative and high quality athletic equipment, apparel and uniforms to teams and organizations.
