MARE is the development of an eHealth tech hub in Venice, Italy, dedicated to cooperative research for innovative applications and artificial intelligence in the medical sector. We aim to become a center of attractiveness for talents in artificial intelligence and healthcare and create an innovative, international environment where universities, companies, and startups can work together and contribute to heal people all over the world, with offices for 900 researchers and 600 living spaces. A key partner of MARE will be CompuGroup Medical Italia (CGM Italia), a leading global software company in healthcare, which will place up to 100 researchers at MARE. Key components of the MARE initiative include not only a TechnoPark designed to foster a thriving tech ecosystem that encourages cooperation, creativity, and innovation, but also research centers and a start-up accelerator program aimed at attracting international talent. An extensive archive of aggregated medical data from diverse, rich sources, as well as a sophisticated AI engine for analyzing vast amounts of health data, will be part of this unique ecosystem and enable future partners of MARE to develop new eHealth applications to heal people all over the world.
