Marea Oslo

Marea is an emerging marine restoration, and environmental education organization working to discover ways to restore the Oslofjord. We actively experiment on how to revive ecosystems, and we engage local communities in hands-on, community-driven solutions for a healthier, thriving marine environment. Through collaboration with marine biologists, freedivers, businesses, and volunteers, we lead restoration projects that can enhance biodiversity in the Oslofjord. We love to educate children and neighbors, about life underwater, to care for the Oslofjord, and potentially create a more sustainable future. Our initiatives include an underwater habitat adoption program and interactive learning experiences to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. We are excited to collaborate and coalition build with all kinds of partners. For example, we often work with Lei en Biolog, Oslo Fridykkerklubb, Padda Båtforening, Fjord Clean Up, Cafe Hanco and Seaweed Solutions. Our sponsors include Bymiljøetaten, Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, Akerhus Fylkeskommune, and Oslo Kommune.
