We are optometrists based in Melbourne, Australia. After many years of working as practitioners, we saw the amount of waste produced by our industry. We wanted to see change. We believe we could make it happen. After endless coffee meetings (like true Melbournians), we created Mari & Clay. Founded on the passion of combining great design and functionality, Mari & Clay provide modern, sustainable sunglasses for people who appreciate timeless and thoughtful designs. The name Mari & Clay is inspired by ocean and earth. “Mari”, like the word marine, and “Clay”, originating from earth. It's a gentle nod of appreciation to the Australian surf and bush.
