Mar Ilimitado

Mar Ilimitado is a private initiative that presents services in ecotourism and scientific research. It provides dolphin and other marine wildlife watching trips, as well as a variety of boat tours along the stunning coastline of Western-Algarve. It was founded in 2005 by a team of experienced marine biologists determined to promote scientific research and conservation of cetaceans, as well as protect and preserve the underwater world. Mar Ilimitado (meaning: "Unlimited Sea") develops its own research projects (cetacean monitoring and photo-identification, diving exploration, etc) in which tourists can get involved. It also carries out projects in cooperation with some Institutes and Universities, by promoting the development of research topics (thesis, etc) and ong term monitoiring of marine wildlife and ecossystems.
